Description
This position will handle more senior accounting functions, as well as other general accounting and administrative tasks. The successful team member will be self-motivated and take the initiative to solve problems and ask questions. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
Responsibilities
- Manages cash reporting on a daily basis for several bank accounts.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts on a daily/monthly basis and prepares related journal entries.
- Creates financial statement schedules and assists in closing out month-end.
- Facilitates the SBA loan relationship with the servicing team and processes related accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Prepares the quarterly Call Report.
- Monitors activity on the Federal Reserve site and completes regulatory requirements.
- Completes various LeasePlus related activities.
- Provides backup support for multiple accounting functions.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 5+ years as an Accountant highly recommended.
- Must be reliable and trustworthy.
- Needs to be proactive in problem solving and attention to detail is critical
- Must have strong organizational skills, and be able to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Needs to have strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Great Plains, Huntington Business Online and the Federal Reserve system a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently both virtually and in the office (hybrid structure).
Bonus Points
- 5+ years as an Accountant highly recommended.
